Shayne Wilcox, BSC, DVM, graduated from the University Of Prince Edward Island School Of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. After graduation he spent the next two years working for an equine practice in Ontario, Canada focusing in equine medicine and lameness in standard bred and various breeds of performance horses.
In 2005 Dr. Wilcox relocated to Pilot Point, Texas where he joined Dr. Donnell at the La Mesa Equine Lameness Center as an associate and staff veterinarian. Dr. Wilcox continues the pursuit of excellence by further specializing his discipline in the diagnostic treatment and modalities of equine lameness. In 2006 Dr. Wilcox teamed up with Equine Sports Medicine where his expertise and passion for sports medicine and current therapeutic management procedures are utilized. Look for Dr. Wilcox and Equine Sports Medicine at many of the major equine events throughout the country.
